Towards a green development mechanism (GDM) The Dutch Ministry of the Environment in cooperation with the IFC, IUCN and UNEP hosted an experts meeting in February 2009 on scaling up biodiversity finance through exploring options for creating markets for international conservation obligations. The final report of this meeting is now available. It is "intended as a contribution to the project of developing a proposal for a GDM [and] provides some structure to the discussion without foreclosing any options."
