8. Participation in the 1st and 2nd meetings of the Steering Committee, as well as in the Regional Workshop for Europe (Nairobi: 17-18 Nov.; Europe: 2 days early Feb.; Croatia: 2 days end Feb.)
The Steering Committee met at the UNEP offices in Nairobi, Kenya, from 17 to 18 November 2005. At this meeting the consultant was able to meet with the focal points for the four pilot countries in Europe and discuss possible treaties to include in the work programme. A second meeting of the Steering Committee took place on 20-21 February 2006 at a national park near Zagreb, Croatia.
