Trade dialogue
The GM and ICTSD (the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development) organised an exploratory dialogue on Building an Enabling Environment for Increasing Investment in Sustainable Land Management through Market Access and Trade in Geneva on 31 January and 1 February 2007.Its main purpose was to explore the opportunities for increasing investments in sustainable dryland management through market access and trade. Specifically, the dialogue was organised to discuss ways of promoting investment in SLM through market access and trade in the context of the new financial architecture and resource allocation patterns for development and poverty reduction.
