Valuing biodiversity -- both its conservation and its use -- is a key tool for understanding what drives its loss and what options we have to sustain it.

Francis Vorhies has been working with IUCN, GEF IW:LEARN, PERSGA and others to build the capacity to use economic valuation for sustainable biodiversity management. This includes running training workshops in Cape Town, Jeddah and Ouagadougou.
