Measuring carbon balance in mangroves [coming soon!]
This document provides scientific and technical guidance on measuring carbon in wetland restoration projects. It will be used for the DFN's pilot mangrove projects as well as for general guidance on the challenges of measuring carbon balances in restored or conserved wetlands. This draft document has been designed to assist project proponents in submitting proposals to the DFN. It contains information on the DFN standard which address wetland conservation/restoration, socio-economic impacts, and marketable carbon sequestration. It also contains an annotated template for preparing a project concept note. The document is currently being used to solicit new pilot projects. Guidance for detailed wet carbon plans
This draft document will be used by project proponents who have received a positive response from the DFN regarding the project concept note. It contains an annotated outline of a detailed project plan with technical guidance to support the development of this plan.
